A Decade of Latina Leadership

In its first 11 years, Arte Sana reached 10,194 persons directly through: Five national conferences and one border conference. Four bilingual Girl Empowerment festivals. 122 bilingual training workshops and community presentations. 6,348 victim advocates, promotoras or Community Health Workers, and allied professionals attended Arte Sana training workshops. 4,852 of all Arte Sana program participants have been from the Texas-Mexico border.
Existe Ayuda National Outreach Project From 2006 through 2010, Arte Sana developed 12 original products for the “Existe Ayuda National Outreach Project” in collaboration with 641 victim advocates and promotoras from 25 states. The products are available on the Office of Victims of Crime website, a component of the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of justice.
